Weddings:
The
piper can play as directed on the day -
these are just some examples of how the
pipes can be used. You can choose just one
or two times or a number of points to hear
the pipes during the day.
|
- Before the
service - the piper can play
outside the venue (church, stately
home, register office, hotel or other
venue). The piper can play a selection
of tunes as guests arrive and mingle
prior to going in to the ceremony room
or place of worship
- As the
bride arrives - the piper can play
a tune to herald the arrival of the
bride.
- On entry of
the bridal party - the piper can
play as the bride goes in to the
ceremony. This can be to lead the bride
in or to stand to one side piping as
the bride processes down the
aisle
- At the end
of the service - a selection of
upbeat tunes can be played to lead
bride, groom and guests out of the
ceremony
- During
drinks and photos - the piper can
play as people enjoy drinks and photos
are taken. This can be a few tunes just
at the start of drinks. Or you can ask
the piper to play
throughout.
- In to the
meal - the piper can lead the
couple in to the wedding
meal
- For evening
guests - the piper can play outside
the venue to welcome evening
guests.
- Bespoke
selections - you can ask the piper
to play in other ways. Examples
provided for in the past include to
lead guests from church to reception
venue / to pipe in front of the bridal
vehicle as it approaches the
venue.
